![]() ![]() All agencies of the state government utilize and employ state personnel, equipment, and facilities for the performance of any and all activities consistent with the direction of the Office of Emergency Services and the State Emergency Plan.NOW, THEREFORE, I, GAVIN NEWSOM, Governor of the State of California, in accordance with the authority vested in me by the State Constitution and statutes, including the California Emergency Services Act, and in particular, Government Code section 8625, HEREBY PROCLAIM A STATE OF EMERGENCY to exist in Plumas County due to the Dixie Fire and Fly Fire, in Butte and Lassen counties due to the Dixie Fire, and in Alpine County due to the Tamarack Fire. WHEREAS under the provisions of Government Code section 8571, I find that strict compliance with various statutes and regulations specified in this Order would prevent, hinder, or delay the mitigation of the effects of these fires. WHEREAS under the provisions of Government Code section 8625( c), I find that local authority is inadequate to cope with the magnitude of the damage caused by these fires and WHEREAS under the provisions of Government Code section 8558(b), I find that the conditions caused by these fires, by reason of their magnitude and combined impacts, are or are likely to be beyond the control of the services, personnel, equipment, and facilities of any single local government and require the combined forces of a mutual aid region or regions to appropriately respond and WHEREAS under the provisions of Government Code section 8558(b), I find that conditions of extreme peril to the safety of persons and property exist due to the Dixie Fire, the Fly Fire, and the Tamarack Fire and WHEREAS exceptionally high temperatures, drought conditions, and dry fuels have further increased the spread of these fires, and it is critical to minimize any impediment to firefighting resources and WHEREAS the Tamarack Fire has forced road closures, is threatening critical infrastructure, homes, and other structures, and has forced the evacuation of residents and WHEREAS on July 4, 2021, the Tamarack Fire began burning in Alpine County, has burned more than 50,000 acres, and continues to burn and WHEREAS the Beckwourth Complex Fire, for which I proclaimed a State of Emergency on July 16, 2021, continues to burn in Lassen and Plumas counties, and the combined effects of the multiple fires are compounding impacts on firefighting and other response resources and WHEREAS on July 22, 2021, the Fly Fire began burning in Plumas County, and has burned thousands of acres, caused road closures and threatened rail lines, and forced additional evacuations in Plumas County and WHEREAS the Federal Emergency Management Agency approved a Fire Management Assistant Grant to assist with the mitigation, management, and control of the Dixie Fire and WHEREAS the Dixie Fire forced the closure of major roadways and rail lines, damaged infrastructure, and continues to threaten power, communication, and other critical infrastructure, impacting Butte, Plumas, and Lassen counties and WHEREAS the Dixie Fire has burned more than 142,000 acres, destroyed homes, and continues to threaten additional homes and other structures, necessitating the evacuation of thousands of residents and of numerous health and other care facilities and WHEREAS on July 14, 2021, the Dixie Fire began burning in Butte County and has since crossed into Plumas County, impacting Butte, Plumas, and Lassen counties and Pocket Guide to Large Truck and Bus Statistics.Analysis Analysis, Research, & Technology.Update My USDOT Number and/or Authority.Apply for a New USDOT Number and/or Authority.Main Menu - Registration - Registration 2 ADA Requirements for Over-the-Road Bus Companies.National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners.Regulations Regulations, Rules, & Notices.
